FAQs

Can my children attend classes for free?

KanKouran is offering one free children’s dance class and one free children’s drum class.  Children are considered any person 16 years old and younger.  Please see the class schedule for the times.  If your children would like to take additional classes, you must pay the listed fee.  Anyone over the age of 16 must pay the adult fee for classes.

Can I share my class card with another attendee?

Class cards are not transferrable.

I am coming to the conference with more than one person. How do I order class cards and concert tickets?

To help you out with your choices, we'll give you a couple of scenarios:

Scenario #1: My friend and I want to take 5 classes each and go to the concert.  We want to sit together at the concert.  What should we do?

You should buy the "5-class card + concert" tickets for both you and your friend*. So when you go to the KanKouran registration link , increase the "5-class card + concert" quantity to "2". As you register, the system will ask you to enter both you and your friend's information.  You will will receive one receipt and both of you can pick up your class cards and concert tickets at the KanKouran conference registration desk under the purchaser's name.
NOTE: The same arrangement would work for a group where everyone is taking classes and going to the concert.

Scenario #2: I want to take 5 classes and my friend wants to take 15 classes. We want to go to the concert and sit together.  What should we do?

You should buy the card and concert tickets for both you and your friend*. So when you go to the KanKouran registration link , increase the "5-class card + concert" quantity to "1" and increase the "15-class card + concert" quantity to "1" .

Scenario #3: I want to take 5 classes and go to the concert. My friend also wants to go to the show and sit together (but s/he's not taking classes).  What should we do?

You should buy the "5-class card" ticket for yourself. So go to the KanKouran registration link and increase the "5-class card" quantity to "1". As you register, the system will ask you to enter your information.  You will will receive one receipt and you can pick up your class card at the KanKouran conference registration desk under the purchaser's name.  To purchase your concert tickets, you can go to Ticketmaster or one of the listed ticket outletsNOTE: The same arrangement would work for a group where some people are not taking classes but want sit together.

*Alternatively, your friend can buy the tickets for both of you.

I am ordering class tickets for a group of people, can I get a discount?

The pre-registration rates automatically include a discount.  If you would like to order for a group, you must buy passes for each group member (as dierected in the scenarios above).

For example: Let’s say you have a group of 5 people (with 2 people who want to attend 3 classes, 1 person who wants to attend 10 classes and 2 people who want to attend 15 classes.)  When ordering your ticket, you must order as follows: two 3-Class Cards, one 10-Class Card, and two 15-Class Cards.  If they all want to attend the concert then you will order as follows: two 3-Class  + Concert Cards, one 10-Class + Concert Card, and two 15-Class + Concert Cards

NOTE: We are no longer offering the 10% discount to individuals that pre-register or 15% to groups of 5 or more that pre-register.

Will I receive my class card in the mail?

Participants who have pre-registered will receive their class card and concert ticket at the conference registration desk.  You will need your picture ID in order to receive your pre-registration packet.

I ordered a conference t-shirt, when will I get it?

Attendees who order conference t-shirts will receive them at the registration desk when you pick up your registration packet.
